These are a little late, and even though I double pinky-swear I would have picked Boise State tonight, I’m not going to count it toward the overall record. If you didn’t see, the Broncos smashed Utah State 52-21 down in Logan, Utah. The Aggies did hang tough for a while there in the first half. Here are the other three games, with Idaho getting its bye week.
Louisiana Tech at Fresno State: La. Tech has issues on the road, and going to Fresno to meet the Bulldogs probably won’t help them. FSU will be looking to regain a little dignity after being wiped out in Reno last week. Guess: Fresno State 27, La. Tech 14
Hawaii at San Jose State: At this point, it’s all about giving departing coach Dick Tomey a pleasant memory or two before he leaves after the season. The Spartans have been pitiful all year, but they might have a shot if Bryant Moniz and Greg Salas miss the game for the Warriors. Still, don’t bet on it. Guess: Hawaii 31, SJSU 17
Nevada at New Mexico State: Hard to believe the Wolf Pack could stumble here before the de facto WAC Championship game next Friday in Boise against the Broncos. Kaepernick & Co. have been rolling through this conference season, and there’s no reason to believe this one won’t get ugly. Guess: Nevada 49, NMSU 7
Record so far this season on predictions: 55-8
