A group of us stood in front of the “I Am an American” memorial in the crisp air this morning, feeling the slightest of raindrops fall.
We were at the Idaho State Veterans’ Home in Lewiston, listening to the speeches, the music and watching the presentation of colors and of awards, and I wished there were more of us. I thought surely, since it is Veterans Day, there would be many in attendance, but the crowd was sparse.
