Alaska state ferry Taku with Mendenhall glacier in background near Juneau in 2002. I was on Taku in 1967 during my first of many visits to Alaska. The ferry seems destined to outlive the glacier(!), which has receded considerably since then. Photo taken from Eric Sundberg’s boat “Friday Fever” We had been out 3 days fishing near Chichagof Island when this opportune moment presented itself as we returned to Juneau. Mal Furniss, Moscow.
