My 11 year old son, Ben Marek caught his first Steelhead on the Salmon River near Riggins in November 2006.

His Great Uncle Pat Marek is in the picture with him, as Pat was rowing the dory and we were pulling plugs. Pat is known as "the old man on the river", in the Salmon River area. He owned and operated Salmon River Challenge for over 22 years. He and wife Shari just retired two years ago, but they both still manage to get time on the river.
