Albright wins in Lewis County

NEZPERCE -- Former Kamiah marshal Joe Albright won the Republican nomination in the race to become the next Lewis County sheriff.
Albright defeated Brad Mittendorf, a former Lapwai police chief, in Tuesday's primary election.
Albright will now face Democrat Brian Brokop of Kamiah and Vincent C. Frazier of Winchester, who is running as an independent, in the November general election.
Albright easily beat Mittendorf, 387-177, in the county's only contested primary race.
