Sheriff's office investigates apparent murder-suicide near Lenore

LENORE - Two people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide north of Lenore.
A woman has also been hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the arm, after the incident on Hanks Grade Road, according to the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office.
Ralph Douglas Mack, 55, and Cody Alan Dwire, 34, were reported dead from gunshot wounds, according to the sheriff’s office.
Kathleen Marie Dwire, 50, was flown by helicopter to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston where she is listed in stable condition.
Chief Deputy Dale Buttrey said in a news release that Cody Alan Dwire, is believed to have been the perpetrator of the crime. Dwire has been identified as Kathleen Dwire’s son.
The incident remains under investigation.
