Kellis guilty of molesting Boy Scouts

MOSCOW — After more than five hours of deliberation, jurors in this Latah County town found Timothy A. Kellis guilty of 12 felony counts of molesting four Boy Scouts at Camp Grizzly near Harvard last summer.
Kellis, who had served as a counselor at the camp, will be sentenced Nov. 12. He faces life in prison on nine counts of lewd conduct with a minor and one count of attempted lewd conduct with a minor. He also could receive 25 years in prison on each of two counts of sexual abuse of a child younger than 16.
He also is facing an unrelated charge of second-degree rape of a child in Asotin County. That case was placed on hold awaiting the outcome of the Latah County case.
