Updated at 2:40 p.m..: Pullman shooting victim identified

PULLMAN -- Michael Fuaau, 22 and a student at Washington State University, has been identified as the victim of a shotgun shooting early this morning.

Fuaau was identfied by his brother and roommate, Yuteson Fuaau, 24, who was in the apartment when he brother was wounded. Michael Fuaau's wounds have been described as non-life-threatening.

Lewis A. Lawrence, 20, of Moscow was charged this afternoon with three counts of first degree attempted murder and one count of first degree burglary.

A second man, Rylan Wallace, 21, also of Moscow, has been charged with rendering criminal assistance in connection with the shooting. Both Moscow men were charged in Whitman County Superior Court in Colfax and have waived extradition after being arrested this morning in Moscow.

Pullman Police Commander Chris Tennant said no motive for the shooting has been established. He said the victim, who lived at the Providence Park apartment complex, answered a knock on his door shortly after midnight and someone fired the shotgun, which was recovered by police..
