A humble suggestion to whoever chooses the music played over the Harris Field audio system: Play Joe Walsh songs every time Walsh University comes to bat. Here is a list of possible selections:
- “Rocky Mountain Way” (whenever appropriate)
- “Turn to Stone” (After a scoreless inning)
- “Life’s Been Good” (after big rallies)
- “Time Out” (Pitching changes)
- “Walk Away” (after every a walk is issued to a Cavalier hitter)
- “At the Station” (after a Walsh run scores)
- “A Life of Illusion” (when a Walsh pitcher records a strikeout)
- “Rockets” (after a Walsh homer run)
- “Fun” (whenever Walsh has the lead)
That should be enough to get you started.

Joe Walsh is actually from the Cavalier’s Canton area where he went to high school and eventually started The James Gang in the early 70’s…
