Patricia Joy Hall-Sage died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer Friday, May 2, 2008, at her home in Coeur d'Alene, at the age of 83.
She was born Aug. 2, 1924, to her parents, Roy and Grace Morse, and lived most of her life in Lewiston. As a member of the class of 1942 at Lewiston High School, she was both a majorette and cheerleader.
Patti was married to Bud Forge, formerly of Clarkston, from 1942 until 1960. She was married to Don Hall from 1961 until his death in 1992. During her marriage to Don she worked at the Renee Shop and was instrumental in organizing, and then serving as president of the Ladies of the Elks in Lewiston.
Patti married Bill A. Sage in 1999 and moved to Coeur d'Alene. Bill is a former resident of Lewiston, where he worked as an accountant for Presnell, Fairley and Gage. He had been a longtime friend of Patti and Don since 1961.
Patti is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bill, who took wonderful care of her during her final days at their home in Coeur d'Alene; her daughter, Shelley Forge Antos of Gig Harbor, Wash.; her granddaughter, Cheryl (Fletcher) O'Reilly, also of Gig Harbor; and two great-grandchildren. Patti is also survived by her sisters, Norene West of Boise and Maxine Cummins of Walla Walla.
At Patti's request, no funeral service will be held. Patti's family wishes to thank Hospice of North Idaho for the extraordinary care they provided during her illness.
