Dave was an amazing person. I had the opportunity of knowing Dave since Kindergarten. He was always filled with joy and humor. He had a unique ability to make the people he was in contact with feel special. He knew how to make a person feel good about the day and themselves. He never faced a challenge with doubt--he faced a challenge with the notion that he was going to conquer. He had a smile and a look that could melt a heart and make his so-called enemies his friends. I remember he gave me a puppy in 1984, his red healer "Annie" gave birth to red healer/St. Bernard pups -- not the tallest dog but wow what big feet Jake had. I had not seen Dave in a couple of years, but I knew when I did he would give me a big hug. We would talk about how life has treated us and where our paths were leading. He was always glad to brag about Zac and Christi and all that family entails. He was happy and ready for the next challenge. He loved his job and the wonderful folks that surrounded him on a daily basis. When he talked about his work he always said he could not do what he did without the wonderful humans he was working with. I will miss his smile, his hugs and his humor. As I am sure many more will. To his family - a hurried loss is sooo... difficult .. I wish you to remember his love, his laughter, and his warmth. Everyone has their own way/path to deal with loss. I hope you find your outlets quickly. We lost my husband to a car accident in Feb 05 -- I still miss his laughter. Prayers and Blessings
