    To Kelly's family,
Kelly had been a friend since junior high for me. His smile was genuine and sweet demeanor was one that we all enjoyed to be around. He was an amazing athlete that we loved to watch and a great friend to camp with or just sit around and talk. He was a blessing to everyone that was fortunate to come to know him. I pray that you find comfort knowing that he is at peace with our Father. God Bless...

    Tim, Diane, and family,

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Kelly was a great guy, and a tremendous leader to all of us who were lucky enough to be his teammates. His work ethic and dedication at school, on the field, and especially in the wrestling room, set a shining example for all of us to follow. You are all in my thoughts.

Tim, Diane, Keri, Jen and the rest of the Schmidt family-

I can't express the how deeply heartbroken I am for the lost of such a wonderful man. Mike and I will miss Kelly tremendously. I will especially miss sitting around with him with playing guitar and singing all those great 80s songs. Those were good times. Our prayers are with all of you in this difficult time.

    GOD bless!

    Schmidt Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Kelly's passing. James and I both graduated with Kelly. We will always remember Kelly for his genuine personality and athletic talent. James played football with Kelly and has very fond memories. Kelly would give the shirt off his back to help a friend. We will always remember him as a great guy!
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To Tim, Diane and the entire Schmidt family-

I can not express the feelings of hearing about Kelly's passing. He was a wonderful friend from early days at LMS through CHS and into our adulthood. For Kelly loved his friends and his sports so deeply. I will always remember Kelly's smile. I don't think I ever saw him during school or after without that smile. I am very proud to call Kelly a friend. He will be greatly missed. My families thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    God Bless
    Robert Hagan

There was a mistake in the obituary, Kelly's sister Kim Weber and her boys Matthew and Jared Weber were omited from the article.
I would also like to thank everyone during this time for all of the support, flowers, and stories.
