The Pomeroy couple will be honored at a private family gathering next Sunday in Clarkston.
Tracy Beale and Janet Brown were married Aug. 23, 1959, in Pomeroy.
The couple married just after graduating from high school and he attended Columbia Basin Community College for 11/2 years before transferring to Washington State University in Pullman and graduated with honors. He worked for his father, Wayne Beale, on the family ranch until 1974, at which time he took over part of the ranch. The couple own a wheat and cattle ranch in Pomeroy.
The couple have two sons, two daughters, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The couple's son, Bill, operates the wheat farming on the ranch, while Tracy operates the cattle side.
They enjoy yearly vacations after harvest, especially a cruise they took to Alaska. His other hobbies include riding his horse and taking care of his cattle. Her other hobbies include gardening, cooking and spending time with their grandchildren.
The couple's four children, Perry, Melinda, Stacey and Bill, will be hosts for the celebration.
