90th birthday: Tom Osborne

Thomas J. Osborne, of Lewiston, will celebrate his 90th birthday Saturday.

He was born Sept. 23, 1933, to Thomas W. and Frieda Osborne. After many moves, the family bought a ranch in Potlatch.

He graduated from Potlatch High School in 1952, and served in the U.S. Army from 1955-57.

He and Justine Reisenauer were married Nov. 21, 1958, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moscow. For two years, the couple lived on a farm along Palouse Road before moving to Lewiston in 1960. He worked at the Potlatch Mill in Potlatch and then was transferred to the Potlatch Corp. mill in Lewiston, where he worked as a machinist. He worked for the company for 42 years, retiring in 1993.

The couple have four children, 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He is an active member of All Saints Catholic Church in Lewiston and he has been involved in the Knights of Columbus, in which he attained a lifetime membership. His hobbies include making rugs and working in his garage. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
