To celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary, the Clarkston couple will be honored with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1911 Golfview Drive in Clarkston.
Harley Williams and Patricia Johnson were married Sept. 19, 1946, in Clarkston.
Pat was employed by Montgomery Ward in Lewiston in 1965, and then worked from 1966 to 1994 for the Idaho Department of Transportation in Lewiston.
Harley worked for Potlatch Forests Inc. in 1951 and '52. He later worked as a teacher and coach in Lapwai schools from 1952-'58, in Pierce from 1958-'63 and in Clarkston schools from 1963-'82. He was principal at Holy Family School in Clarkston from 1983-'87.
From 1986 to 1994, he served as an Asotin County commissioner.
Pat was a member of the Lewiston Women's Bowling League and the Clarkston Country Club. Both are members of the Lewiston Elks Lodge, and Harley also is a member of the Clarkston Moose Lodge.
The couple have two sons, Lonnie and Tom, and two daughters, Sherry Domaskin and Sandy Andrews. They also have six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. All will be hosts for their celebration.
