Maria Orena Yochum and Andrew David Garnant, both of Beaverton, Ore., were joined in holy matrimony Oct. 11 at Pacific Crest Grand Ballroom in Oregon City, Ore. Dru Nelson, a childhood friend of the bridegroom, performed the ceremony.
The bride is a property manager for PacTrust of Portland, Ore. Her parents are Dale and Wanda Yochum of Lewiston, and the late Sara Jane (Sally) Yochum. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1993 and from the University of Idaho at Moscow in 1997.
The bridegroom is a driver for United Parcel Service in Tualatin, Ore., and his parents are David and Joyce Garnant of Tigard, Ore. He graduated from Tigard High School in 1995.
Matron of honor was Anne Gleaton of Spokane, and maids of honor were Julie Yochum of Craigmont and Laura Woods of Forest Grove, Ore. All are sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Laurie Hoskins of Renton, Wash., and Ari Schumacher of Kennewick. Junior bridesmaid was Madison Woods of Forest Grove, Ore., niece of the bride.
Best man was Ritchie Metzler of Portland. Groomsmen were Jeremy Burbank of Brighton, Mass., Danny Metzler of Tualatin, and Scott Meeker and Miles Shattuck, both of Portland.
Flower girl was Olivia
Gleaton of Spokane, niece of the bride, and ring bearer was Mason Yochum of
McMinnville, Ore., nephew of the bride. Candlelighters were Wanda Yochum, stepmother of the bride, and Joyce Garnant, mother of the bridegroom.
The bride and her father were preceded down the aisle by her five brothers, and she was given away by her siblings and parents.
A reception was held in Oregon City.
The couple spent their honeymoon in St. Lucia and ended up with a surprise souvenir - baby Sally Irene was born July 14.
The couple are making their home in Beaverton.
