Holiday dinner with the Vandaleers choir

Tickets are on sale for a holiday dinner featuring the Vandaleers choir Dec. 17 at the University of Idaho Student Union Building Ballroom in Moscow.

Tickets are $30 per person, or $20 for graduates of the last decade, and must be reserved by Dec. 12. Tables for 10 are available for $275. A social hour begins at 6 p.m. Dinner is at 7.

The event is sponsored by the University of Idaho Palouse Alumni Chapter and the Moscow Chamber of Commerce.

Boxing championships

The 2014 USA Boxing National Championships will take place Jan. 20-25 at the Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Spokane.

The event will feature male and female boxers in the elite division (ages 19 to 40) battling for a highly coveted national championship. Both the men's and women's divisions will feature all 10 weight divisions, with top Olympic hopefuls competing for gold in the first elite event of 2014. Top boxers include 2012 Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields and three-time USA Boxing national champion and 2012 Olympic Trials gold medalist Cam F. Awesome.

Tickets range from $5 to $40 depending on the level of event. Bouts begin at 11 a.m. on weekdays and noon on Saturday. Tickets and details are available at www.northernquest.com.

Jazz festival

NEA Jazz Masters Benny Golson and Sheila Jordan, Ken Peplowski, Groove for Thought, Rene Marie and the Yellowjackets are a few of the headliners for the 2014 Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow.

The 47th annual festival is Feb. 19-22 at the UI.
