Hahnert is new vice president of sale and marketing at AHA

Advanced Hardware Architectures has appointed Gary Hahnert of Pullman to vice president of sales and marketing.

Hahnert is at the AHA headquarters in Pullman. The company employs 55 and does engineering of integrated circuits for products such as digital copiers, wireless modems and computer tape storage devices.

He came to AHA from Intel, where he was the North American business development manager for the company's cable and network operation.

He has also held a wide variety of positions in engineering, sales and marketing management at several electronics firms, including Precision Monolitics Inc. (now Analog Devices) headquartered in Norwood, Mass., and Signal Processing Technologies at Colorado Springs, Colo.

Hahnert has a master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif., and earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University in East Lansing.

Scott Griggs named new vice president of sales at Schweitzer

PULLMAN -- Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories in Pullman has announced the addition of H. Scott Griggs as vice president of sales.

Schweitzer is a manufacturer of digital protective relays that make electric power systems more reliable, safer and more economical.

Griggs will manage all portions of the company's sales and service processes in 26 countries. His appointment results from expansion of Schweitzer products and services in the world market.

Schweitzer filled 140 new positions during the first five months of the year and sells products in 69 countries throughout the world.

Griggs was managing director of Latin American operations at Invensys Secure Power of Raleigh, N.C., prior to his appointment at Schweitzer. He brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to the company.

Su Brown named director of regional CPA society chapter

Su Brown of Su Brown and Associates in Lewiston has been named a director of the northern chapter of the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Brown has been appointed an officer several times during more than 20 years of service with the ISCPA.

The northern chapter meets regularly to discuss continuing professional education programs and to address legislation that affects the industry.

Brown says CPAs from Lewiston, Moscow and Coeur d'Alene form a close community that represents northern Idaho to the larger ISCPA body in Boise.

"It's always fun to be involved with other CPAs in north Idaho."

Su Brown and Associates provides financial accounting and consulting services to corporate and private clients.
