The drive-through window remains open while Lewiston's Jack in the Box undergoes a major renovation that's part of a national makeover of the chain.

Ceramic tile floors, pendant lighting and wall collages will be added during the project, along with a variety of seating options like booths, bars and high-top round tables. Changes in music, uniforms, packaging and menu boards are part of the plans as well.

The restaurant at 1903 G St. closed entirely for a brief time last week before the drive-through service resumed. Full dine-in service will be available by the end of the month, when remodeling of the dining room and restrooms is finished.

Similar work is scheduled for Jack in the Box restaurants in Moscow and Pullman locations in coming months.
