ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

MOSCOW CITY SHOP

Sealed bids will be received at City Council Chambers of Moscow City Hall, 206 East Third Street Moscow, Idaho 83843 from 1:30 P.M. through 2:00 P.M. prevailing local time on November 6, 2024.

Bid proposals may be mailed prior to the opening to the attention of Britany Luft City of Moscow Community Development at 504 S. Washington Street, Moscow, ID 83843. All mailed proposals must be received prior to the bid opening time listed above and must be marked as "Moscow City Shop Facility" on the outside of the bid package.

Proposals will be opened and publicly read at the City Hall at 2:00 P.M. on November 6, 2024. For additional information concerning drawings and specifications, contact Lombard-Conrad Architects, Matt Geserick (208) 780-0022.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of 3 separate buildings to all be included in the bid and alternate costs. These buildings consist of a new shop, material storage building, and existing shop. All labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to provide the construction should be included in the bid.

New Shop: Construction of a new 18,800 square foot, single story, pre-engineered metal building in accordance with the plans and specifications with the steel support structure to be designed by the pre-engineered metal building manufacturer as a deferred submittal.

Material Shed: Construction of a new 4,400 square foot, single story, timber and wood truss framed building in accordance with the plans. Material specifications are included on the plan set.

Existing Shop: Re-cladding of the wall and roof assemblies of an existing 18,300 square foot, two-story, pre-engineered metal building in accordance with plans and specifications. Construction will include the removal of existing wall and roof panels, insulation, and vapor barrier and the installation of new insulated metal wall and roof panels in accordance with the plans and specifications.

BID BOND: A bid bond equal to 5% of the amount bid must accompany the bid proposal. (See instructions to bidders.)

PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: Public Works Contractor's License for the State of Idaho is required to bid on this project. (See instructions to bidders and general conditions for further bidder qualifications.)

CONTRACT TIME: (365) calendar days (see instructions to bidders, bid proposal and agreement.)

ESTIMATED PROJECT COST: $6,135,000.00

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: The pre-bid conference and walk through will be held on October 16, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. The conference will be held at the existing Moscow City Shop at 650 Van Buren St. Please direct any questions related to the project to Lombard-Conrad Architects, Matt Geserick (208) 345-6677.
