Members met Sept. 9 at the Genesee home of leader Kim Monk. President Jojo Osborn called the meeting to order, Ellie Knox led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance and Dillon Knox led members in the 4-H pledge.
For roll call, Secretary Easton Uhlenkott asked members what their favorite fair treat is. Members approved the secretary’s minutes for August and the August treasurer’s report given by Ryder Uhlenkott.
New business included information about the coming Latah County Fair. Members with animal projects had met at the fairgrounds that morning to clean and decorate stalls and animal areas for the fair.
Monk went over what the expectations are for club members during the fair, and talked about what happens each day when animals are fed and washed and shown. She covered additional information about what goes in record books and stressed the importance of having record books signed by each member, a parent and the leader.
Osborn gave a demonstration about how to trim a goat’s hooves, and Dillon Knox and Eli Knox gave demonstrations related to their woodworking projects.
Monk provided treats.
