Boots 'N Bits Horse 4-H Club
Members met Feb. 19 for their first sitdown meeting at the home of club leaders Larry and Janis Forsmann. There were 12 members present.
Officers were elected and they are: Megan Hug, president; Renee Roberts; vice president; Brittany Geouge, secretary; Emily Rauch, treasurer; and Kelley Hug, reporter.
The club's Community Pride Project Jan. 6 was helping Winter Spirit remove lights at Locomotive Park. Members have been riding since November and received training two times from Jason Schaper.
Members discussed new business which included submitting an entry to ride in the Asotin Parade April 28; county demonstrations April 22; parents working in the food booth during fair time; future rides and clinics; and the 4-H point system to receive the horse allaround project.
A community pride project will be to pick up the garbage on Lindsay Creek Road April 15, followed by a sitdown meeting.
