For the third time in less than a week, a storm swept over the Lewiston area, bringing brief, violent downpours of rain at most points in the area and battering hailstones at others.

The storm caused flash-floods that blocked the road from Boggan's Oasis at Troy, Ore., and sent mud and water gushing over U.S. Highway 12 near the foot of Alpowa Grade.
