WASHINGTON - A nationwide trucking shutdown that could tie up 65 percent of truck traffic will begin at midnight today.

Three Clarkston youths, Kevin VanTine, Linda Spooner and Joyce Noel have qualified to compete in 4-H demonstrations at the Washington State Fair at Yakima, Sept. 27-30.

John J. Schierman and Jerry L. Northrup, both of Lewiston, have been presented medals for 10 years of service with the Idaho National Guard.
