The Bovill couple will be honored during an open house at noon next Sunday at the Old Timers picnic in East City Park at Bovill. The occasion is their 50th anniversary.
He and Glenna Trimble were married July 18, 1958, at Coeur d'Alene.
He owned and operated Shook Logging Co. in Bovill for 27 years and retired in 1998.
She is a homemaker and was the bookkeeper for their logging company.
The couple have two sons, one daughter and six grandchildren.
He was a member of the Bovill City Council and the Bovill Fire Department, where he served as fire chief for many years.
She is a member of the Bovill Fireman's Auxiliary and has been treasurer for 30 years. She has also volunteered in the second grade class at Bovill Elementary School for the last 10 years and is involved in many other community activities.
He likes traveling to Reno, Nev., and Las Vegas to play the slot machines, while she enjoys league bowling and has been a member of the Potlatch Leisure League for 40 years.
The couple's children will be hosts for the event.
