ASOTIN - Asotin County netted about $200 in filing fees when mortgage instruments totaling 394 pages were filed in the auditor's office recently.
Still it was necessary to declare an emergency in the auditor's department of the current expense fund in order to transfer the funds and pay a claim for $197 to Glenn G. Farthing, auditor of Nez Perce County, for the photographing of the lengthy documents.

Pacific Northwest Television Inc., associated with other Oregon and Washington community television systems, has purchased the Tri-City TV Corp. of Pasco-Kennewick, it was announced at Lewiston by Newell Priess of Spokane.
Priess is president of Pacific Northwest, which supplies cable service at Lewiston and Clarkston; and vice president of Columbia TV Service Inc., newly formed company that will operate the Tri-City system.
