ASOTIN — The Port of Clarkston asked Asotin County commissioners Monday for title to and jurisdiction over Asotin County Airport north of Clarkston so it can be developed into Snake River port facilities. The request was taken under consideration by commissioners and was referred to the prosecuting attorney for study and recommendation.
William C. Behrens, manager of the port district, submitted a written request for transfer of the title to 97.7 acres from the county to the port. “Specific portions of the real property will be reserved for industrial, manufacturing and other port oriented business to develop the waterborne commercial potential of Asotin County,” he said.
