Marriage vows were exchanged Oct. 11 by Jolene Michelle Cihak and Matthew Aaron Taylor, both of Maricopa, Ariz., at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Chandler, Ariz. Deacon Tom Monday of Chandler officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is a teacher for the Chandler Unified School District. She graduated in 1994 from Lewiston High School, in 1999 from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., and in 2000 from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. Her parents are Robert and Dianne Cihak of Clarkston.
The bridegroom is an operations manager for Vital Processing in Tempe, Ariz. He graduated in 1995 from Dobson High School in Mesa, Ariz., and in 2003 from Arizona State University in Tempe. He is the son of Beth Borst of Mesa and Jack Taylor of South Korea.
The matron of honor was Jessica Wilson of Olympia, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Christine Samwick of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Cheryl Wate of Sammamish, Wash., both sisters of the bride, and Christy Fisher of Fort Meyer, Fla.
The best man was Ian Taylor of Mesa, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Brett Palmer of Phoenix and Daniel Ketcham and Russell Heptinstall, both of Chandler.
Ushers were Robert Cihak of Aberdeen, S.D., brother of the bride, and Joseph Horvat of Higley, Ariz. The flower girl was Claire Wate of Sammamish and the ring bearer was Austin Cihak of Aberdeen. The candlelighters were the mothers of the bride and bridegroom. The organist was Joe Toon, vocalist was Carol Flood and the violinist was Delite Hewes, all of Chandler.
A reception was held at The Ranch House in Mesa and the couple are living in Maricopa.
