Members of the Lewis-Clark Duplicate Bridge Club met Dec. 18 for a game at Clarkston's Pautler Senior Center. There were nine pairs participating.

Dona Colley and Dolores Glenny placed first with 59 percent. Keith Ralstin and Mary McMillion were second with 56 percent.

There were 13 pairs competing Dec. 20 at the center. In the north-south field, Ken Taylor and Gary Forsey were first with 61 percent, while Joan Zinn and Marilyn Bengtson were second with 55 percent. Sitting east-west, Camille Lame and Warren Lame were first with 63 percent. Carol Schwartz and David Schwartz were second with 56 percent.

There were nine pairs competing Dec. 27 at the center. Joan Zinn and Ken Taylor were first with 63 percent. Rosemary Lukens and Joan Moe were were second with 62 percent.

The Twin Rivers Toastmasters Club met Dec. 30 to celebrate the new year.

Eric Lundholm's speech was titled "Rats" and was evaluated by John Pritchett.

Bonnie Lundholm joined the club. She served as timer and won the table topics trophy.

Fred Jabbora was the table topics master and Mark Havens was toastmaster.

In business, the club voted to cancel its Jan. 13 meeting and to meet that evening at Blue Mountain Academy for the last session of speechcraft.

Area governor Havens reported on the officer training workshop he presented for the Northwest Speakeasys Toastmasters club Dec. 16. He will schedule a similar workshop for local officers in January.

Havens also reported that the club has been invited to do a talk about Toastmasters to the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Stroke Support Group Jan. 20. John and Lois Pritchett volunteered to assist with this presentation.
