Lewis-Clark Duplicate Bridge Club
Members met for December games at the Valley Community Center in Clarkston. Winners were:
Dec. 4: Marilyn Bengtson and Joan Zinn; Dec. 11: Linda Henderson and Jody Foster; Dec. 18: Henderson and Catherine Goetz.
Lewis-Clark Valley Kiwanis Club
Craig Whitcomb, a Lewiston artist and educator, spoke at the club's meeting Wednesday.
He gave a presentation on the collection of art and artists this region has produced, as well as detailing the number of museums and galleries.
The club's next meeting will be 7 a.m. Wednesday in Room 143 of the Lewis-Clark State College Student Union Building. Guest speaker Scott Funk will discuss plans for the second floor of the Lewiston City Library.
Valley Duplicate Bridge Club

Twin Rivers Toastmasters No. 1426
Mark Havens headed the club's meeting Tuesday as toastmaster.
Jerome Hansen spoke about his New Year's Day polar bear plunge and he was evaluated by Doug Crook.
David Stanley practiced for a coming speech competition and was evaluated by Bruce Neu.
General evaluator Michael Burton gave encouragement and suggestions for improvement.
Timer Brian Wegley used cards to indicate time, as the timing machine was unavailable.
Hansen won best speaker and Neu won best evaluator.
Lewis-Clark Toastmasters No. 369
The Rev. Cody Stauffer started the club's meeting Thursday with a word of prayer.
Patti Mann gave a speech titled "The Most Passionate Leaders" and she was evaluated by Kent Barnett.
Bruce Neu's speech was titled "Tithe" and he was evaluated by Agapito Hernandez Jr.
Mann won best speaker and Barnett won best evaluator.
Victor Racicot was table topics master, and he delivered the trophy to Larry Ferguson. Tom Eier was general evaluator.
Nez Perce County Republican Women
Members met Dec. 9 at the home of Sue Pring for their annual holiday gathering.
Membership reminders were given that college students can join and have their dues paid by the national committee and that regular dues are now being collected. Members also were told ticket sales have opened for the annual blanket raffle.
The next meeting is noon Tuesday at Lewiston's Red Lion.
