An open house honoring Myrtle Bell Lacock of Orofino is from 2 to 4 p.m. next Sunday at Brookside Landing in Orofino. The occasion is her 90th birthday.
She was born Aug. 8, 1913, to William and Mary Phar in Gilbert, near Orofino. She married Elmer Bell June 9,
1935, in Gilbert and they farmed and she was a homemaker there until his death in February 1989.
Following his death she moved to Orofino. She married Luke Lacock Oct. 8, 1995. He died April 7, 2000.
She is a member of the Orofino Christian Church, the FISH Thrift Shop and the Clearwater County Historical Society, all in Orofino. She enjoys sewing, walking and reading. She likes to travel and enjoys spending time with people and visiting shut-ins.
She has one daughter. Her daughter and son-in-law will be hosts for the event.
