Traffic on Lewiston's Main Street was diverted for about an hour Friday night after a tractor-trailer and a car reportedly collided at the corner of Fifth Street.

Lawrence Quirk, 25, of Idaho Falls, was reportedly charged with making an improper left turn after the 2004 Swift tractor-trailer he was driving collided with the 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier, according to Lewiston police.

Lewiston police and Idaho State Patrol crews responded shortly after 7 p.m., and Lewiston fire crews were called to pry open a door so one of the Chevrolet passengers could get out, police said.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 47-year-old Catherine Massee, was not injured in the accident, but police said passenger Jenelle Ochszner, 47, of Orofino was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center by private vehicle for minor injuries. A third passenger in the Chevrolet was not injured, police said.
