A woman was injured Monday morning during a dispute that led to the theft of her car.
The woman and a male acquaintance were parked at the Nez Perce Express II gas station on Nez Perce Road in Lewiston, according to a Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office news release, when the man apparently refused to give the woman her keys and the two fought inside the brown 2000 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
Sheriff's deputies did not identify the couple Monday.
The woman exited the car and ran around to the driver's side, but found the door was locked. She grabbed onto the window, which was partially open, according to the news release, and fell from the vehicle once the man started to drive away. The sheriff's office did not release the extent of the woman's injuries.
The man is believed to be headed toward Spokane, driving the Trailblazer with Washington license plate AKJ7458. The vehicle has damage to the rear bumper.
Anyone who sees it is asked to call the sheriff's office at (208) 799-3131, or a local law enforcement agency.
