POCATELLO - A white supremacy organization that has distributed thousands of fliers across southern Idaho in recent months will now begin targeting the city of Pocatello in a search for new members.
Paul Mullet, who claims to be a leader of the Aryan Nations, said the group plans to hit the university town hard with its message and recruitment campaign.
"It lets people know that the white race is being forgotten about," Mullet told the Idaho State Journal. "Our rights are being taken away and given to minorities."
Mullet has helped pass out fliers across the state in the past year. About 3,000 fliers have been distributed in the past two weeks in southeastern Idaho, including invitations to join the Aryan Nations that were put into plastic eggs over the Eastern holiday, he said.
But the message, which encourages people to join the fight to keep the country white, has angered and irritated some of its random recipients.
"I think at the end where it says 'Join the fight to keep America white' is ludicrous," said Idaho Falls resident Barbara Holm, who got a flier two weeks ago.
