Story time at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Lewiston City Library will have a popcorn theme.

Stories, finger plays, songs and crafts will be featured.

Children's stories about vegetables will be read at the Asotin County Library at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for ages 3 to 5 and at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for ages 18 months to 3.

Story time will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for ages 2 to 6 at the Heights Branch.

Branches of the Whitman County Library system will be collecting pennies for the second annual penny drive for the next two weeks.

Pennies can be donated starting today. The drive will run through April 20, in honor of National Library Week, which begins Sunday. Funds raised will go toward children's programs or other needs in the local branch.
