Foreclosure auctions have been postponed on Lewiston's Bollinger Financial Center and the 21st Street building that houses the Wrangler bar.
The auctions, which had been scheduled for Thursday, have now been rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. May 17 at Alliance Title and Escrow, 1455 G St. in Lewiston.
The reason for the change is not clear. Alliance Title and Escrow referred a question about why the foreclosure sales had been moved to Gene Reno, the auctioneer. Attempts to reach Reno were unsuccessful.
An email to Robert Blewett and Donald Blewett wasn't immediately answered Thursday. They own the buildings with Lila Blewett and Carla Blewett, according to the Nez Perce County Assessor's Office.
The Bollinger Financial Center is at 301 D St. in Lewiston. The Wrangler building is at 750 21st St. The Wrangler is a separate business and is not part of the foreclosure proceedings.
The default that prompted the pending foreclosure sale of the Bollinger building was a note maturing April 30, 2012, which made the entire balance due, and also failure to pay property taxes in 2011, according to a legal notice.
The balance on the note as of Oct. 30 was $1.15 million, plus interest of $83,723 and other charges for a total of $1.23 million, with a per diem of $215 for every day after, according to the legal notice.
Like the Bollinger, the default that prompted the foreclosure sale on the 21st Street property was a note maturing April 30, 2012. Property taxes weren't paid on the property in 2011 or 2012, according to the legal notice.
As of Oct. 30, the principal owed on the note was $833,000, plus $15,046 in interest and other charges for a total of $848,046, with a per diem of $98 for every day after, according to the legal notice.
