Free loans of fishing poles will be available on weekends for part of the spring and summer at Kiwanis Park at a recently constructed booth in a prominent spot on Lewiston’s Snake River Avenue.

The booth will debut from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 3, and then generally be open on Saturdays and Sundays during those hours through Labor Day as long as volunteers are available to staff it, said Josh Brown, secretary of Kiwanis Club of the LC Valley.
