Judge sentences Clarkston man for arson fire
ASOTIN - A 44-year-old Clarkston man was sentenced Thursday to 10 months in prison for his role in an arson fire that destroyed a trailer home.
Cody A. Cox was found guilty of second-degree arson, a class B felony, in Asotin County Superior Court.
Cox was arrested in connection with an April 7 structure fire that destroyed a trailer home at 10856 Snake River Road. He was arrested in May with two other men, Brandon L. Wells, 40, and Darrell "DJ" Mills Jr., 44, for the fire. Both men also are facing arson charges.
Mills is accused of paying to have the single-wide trailer home torched on Snake River Road in an effort to get the resident to move out of the area.
Nobody was in the rental trailer at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
