Tim Kunka of Entiat, Wash., has been named the new executive vice president of the Washington Cattlemen's Association, based in Ellensburg.
Kunka succeed Tipton Hudson, who resigned earlier this year.
Kunka has an educational background in range management and has worked in central Queensland,
Australia, on a cattle station, as a firefighter and range management specialist for the U.S. Forest Service, as head of a cow/calf operation and in a veterinary practice.
He has been a member of the association since 1995 and has served on the animal health and public lands committees.
Kunka plans to increase member participation and gain greater support from the public.
