Hazel Marie King, 96, died at her home in Clarkston Friday, July 11, 2003.

She was born Aug. 8, 1906, at Greer to John T. and Maggie B. Jefferies Bell. Hazel attended school at Greer and at Alpine near Nezperce.

She and Earl H. Wright were married Nov.

19, 1928, in Orofino. They farmed at Gilbert near Orofino, and he passed away July 2, 1954. Hazel moved to Clarkston Nov. 19, 1963, and remained a resident there.

Hazel enjoyed gardening, flowers, her family and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Ella Mae Schlader of Lewiston and Lorraine Kachelmier of Nezperce; sister-in-law Myrtle Lacock of Orofino; grandchildren Ron Schlader of St. Regis, Mont., Dennis Kachelmier of Clarkston, Donna McClure of Missoula, Mont., Becky Seubert of Clarkston and Debbie Kelley of Grangeville; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and her husband, Earl.

The viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Merchant Funeral Home in Clarkston. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston.
