A 28-year-old Kendrick man was sentenced to serve 10 years of probation after an incident in which he stole items from a home of someone he knew in January.
Cordell C. W. Deeds pleaded guilty to burglary in April and was sentenced May 22 by 2nd District Judge Mark Monson at the Nez Perce County Courthouse.
He was sentenced to 3-10 years but the sentence was suspended and Deeds will serve 10 years of probation as well as 30 days jail at the discretion of his probation officer. He also had to pay $920.50.
He was also charged with rape and robbery, both felonies, but the charges were dismissed as part of a Rule 11 plea agreement, which a judge has to follow or the guilty plea can be revoked.
