A Pearl Harbor remembrance ceremony organized by multiple Lewiston-Clarkston Valley veterans groups is set for 11 a.m. today in Lewiston.

The ceremony marking the 76th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor that ushered the United States into World War II is organized by the Lewis-Clark Valley Veterans Council, Branch 63 of the Fleet Reserve Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10043 and other veterans groups from the valley.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. today at the Lewiston Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 1104 Warner Ave., Lewiston. A wreath will be set onto the Snake River from the sheriff's boat at about 11:45 a.m. south of the Interstate Bridge and may be observed from the walkway between Lewiston and Clarkston.

Guest speakers include Capt. Ron Gray and chaplain Chuck Powell. The master of ceremonies will be retired U.S. Navy Cmdr. Chuck Whitman.
