WAHA - A Lewiston man was killed Friday night on Flat Iron Road near its intersection with Webb Ridge Road east of Waha when the pickup truck he was driving went off a 400-foot embankment.

An Idaho State Police news release said Joshua J. Burton, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three passengers were taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, where they were treated and released. They were Dustin O. Pulley, 23, of Pierce; and Yamil Escobedo, 20, and Yiselle Escobedo, 22, both of Lewiston.

According to ISP, Burton was driving a 2006 Dodge pickup shortly before 7:30 p.m. and failed to negotiate a corner, going off an embankment. The truck rolled an unknown number of times, landing in a ravine approximately 400 feet down. Burton, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected.
