COEUR D'ALENE - Adolfo Bautista Ascencio, 37, of Lewiston, was sentenced Tuesday to 126 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

U.S. District Court Judge Edward J. Lodge also ordered Ascencio, who lived at times at Moscow and Grangeville, to serve five years of supervised release following his prison term and forfeit $200,000 in cash and a 2000 F-250 pickup truck he used during the commission of the offense, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson said in a written statement.

Ascencio pleaded guilty to the charge July 11, 2011.

He also was arrested in August 2010 on charges of lewd conduct with a child after it was reported he was using methamphetamine and counterfeit money to pay two 15-year-old girls for sex.

Ascencio pleaded guilty to that offense and was sentenced to four to 15 years in state prison.

In September 2010, law enforcement served a search warrant on Ascencio's residence and seized more than $115,000 in cash and more than 400 grams of methamphetamine.
