Nez Perce County sheriff seeks help in locating sex offender
The Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office is seeking help in locating a non-compliant sex offender.
Levi J. Lupe, 48, failed to verify his address with his last verification received in February 2012. A sheriff's office news release said Lupe also is wanted on an arrest warrant. Lupe was indicted in U.S. District Court for failing to register in July 2014.
Lupe was convicted of lewd conduct with a child younger than 16 in October 2002, and also was convicted of sexual abuse of a minor in November 1994.

Moscow man reportedly shot by his hunting partner near Deary
DEARY - A Moscow man was shot in the buttocks with a .50-caliber muzzleloader while hunting for elk Monday morning near Deary.
Deputies say the shooting, which is believed to be accidental, occurred when a Potlatch man thought he was firing at an elk, but instead shot his hunting partner.
The Moscow man is believed to be in his 60s. He was taken to Gritman Medical Center in Moscow before being transferred to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
No information was provided on the extent of the man's injuries, but Latah County Sheriff Richie Skiles said surgery was required to remove the round.
Skiles said the shooting remains under investigation. Authorities did not release a name for either hunter.
Computer woes prompt shutdown of Idaho DMV license offices
BOISE - Problems with the state's Division of Motor Vehicle computer system have forced a temporary closure of all driver's license offices throughout District 2, the Idaho Transportation Department announced Tuesday.
The closures includes offices in Lewiston, Moscow, Orofino, Nez Perce and Grangeville.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there was no timeline for when the offices would reopen. Registration and titling services are still open across Idaho.
