GRANGEVILLE - A single railroad car hauling logs derailed from the track Wednesday afternoon near Greer.

Lt. Doug Ulmer of the Idaho County Sheriff's Office said he was notified about 4 p.m. Wednesday that a car that appears to have been the last in a train belonging to the Bountiful Grain and Craig Mountain Railroad of Orofino jumped the track. The car did not overturn, Ulmer said, and there were no injuries, "but it's got a good lean going to it."

Ulmer said the rest of the train had detached from the derailed car and was gone by the time he arrived at the scene. Another car had been left there and Ulmer said it appears that was done to keep the leaning car from tipping further.

Railroad officials could not be immediately reached Thursday for comment.
