ASOTIN- A man was injured after he fell off a raft during a rafting trip on the Salmon River.
Nez Perce County marine deputies responded to the medical call at 6 a.m. Friday near the confluence of the Snake River and Salmon River, according to the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office.
The man had a severe laceration on his lower leg that was checked by medics from the Lewiston Fire Department at the scene.
Because of his injuries, the man and his wife were taken to Heller Bar and used their own vehicle to seek further medical attention, according to the sheriff's office.
No other information was provided by the sheriff's office.
