BEND, Ore. - The end of a murder trial in Bend this week shocked many in the courtroom.
Before he was sentenced Thursday to life in prison for the murder of his wife, 47-year-old Steven Blaylock made a lengthy explanation for dumping her body in an Oregon river in 2010. The body has not been recovered.
KTVZ-TV reported that Blaylock described his wife, Lori, as having talked about having her remains blasted into space or buried at sea.
But, failing that, Blaylock told the judge, she wanted to "feed my friends, the fish."
