Asotin County Sheriff's deputies obtained a search warrant and seized nearly a pound of marijuana from a Clarkston home early Wednesday morning after being summoned by a report of a domestic dispute.
A child called police at 11:41 p.m. Tuesday to report two people pushing and shoving each other at 2610 Critchfield Road, said Deputy Judy Toth.
Charles D. Miller, 42, was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault.
At the scene, officers noticed what appeared to be marijuana in a dish and asked who it belonged to. Toth said Johnny J. Miller, 32, answered it was hers and she was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Both of the Millers were taken to the Asotin County Jail.
Deputies then obtained a search warrant for the house and called in Lewiston police dog Pete and his handler, Officer Ted Piche, to help look for other drugs. Toth said just under a pound of marijuana some of it packaged in 1/8-ounce amounts scales and other drug paraphernalia were seized.
Following the search, the Millers both were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
The case remains under investigation and other charges may be filed, Toth said.
