Construction will start within two weeks on a 3,500-foot extension to the bicycle path in Clarkston, according to Rick M. Davis, Port of Clarkston manager. The port received a state grant to extend the riverfront bicycle path from the river confluence parking lot in Clarkston west in front of the Quality Inn to the port office.

Ernst Home and Nursery in the Lewiston Orchards will open its doors. The $2.5 million project means about 90 new jobs in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley, store Manager Chris Knapton said. Knapton has worked in several Ernst stores.

The Interstate Bridge is out of order again. Its lift span can't go up and down because of failure of the main electrical power source to the control tower.
